Southpaw Animal Health recognizes that we live in a hectic, fast-paced world, and that is why we offer daily Drop-Off Services.
Whether you need your pet to be vaccinated or have a bump checked by his or her doctor, you may leave your pet with us for the day while you work, shop, or take care of other businesses. This service is provided for your convenience. However, if you anticipate needing to discuss your pet’s health with his or her doctor, then a scheduled appointment is best for you since your pet will be discharged by one of our technicians and not a doctor.
Pet owners whose pets require critical care are required to see a veterinarian on an appointment, emergency, or walk-in basis. We do not allow pet owners to drop their pets off in critical condition as the veterinarians will need to converse with each pet owner in-depth as the doctor assesses these patients.
Although this service is very convenient for many of our clients, it is sometimes rather inconvenient for pets, so please be certain that your pet has a disposition that is suited to spending the day with us. We have a limited quantity of Drop-Off appointment slots available each day that fill quickly, so please make sure to book well in advance for your needs.
What to Expect
We offer Drop-Off services Monday through Friday, and we require your pet to be admitted to our hospital between 7:30am and 8:30am. We require clients to give themselves plenty of time for this process to ensure that all questions or concerns are addressed in a manner that will give our veterinarians ample information to complete your requests to your satisfaction. A treatment release form may be completed prior to arrival.
Most Drop-Off patients will be released after 4:00pm. However, this may not always be possible. A doctor or technician will be in touch with each pet owner in regards to the patient’s visit and will inform each owner when his or her pet will be available for release.
